Kevin and I went to the Missions dinner last night. It was amazing. We went to hear Al Dobra as our workshop choice. He was raised in Pakistan and spoke on key elements of Islam and how to love Muslim people for Christ. We wished it had lasted much longer than the hour he had. He is extremely easy to listen to and understand, using a PowerPoint presentation. He is presenting again tonight and well worth coming for.
Timminy went to the Wycliffe Bible Translation workshop, led by Ron Whistler, and said it was great. Timminy rattled off several things he talked about and was very inspired. He lives in Eugene with his wife and three daughters, as he works on translation for an Indonesian language. He'll be back tonight (Saturday the 13th), as well.
The Missions committee has put together a great program that informs and is very enjoyable.
